Debt-like items

Obligations treated like debt in an agreed enterprise-to-equity value bridge. Classification and price treatment depend on the transaction definitions and valuation basis.

Debt-like items in round numbers

Hypothetical, in US$ millions: the parties agree to classify accrued income taxes of 0.35, an unrecorded vacation obligation of 0.22 and a lease liability of 0.18 as debt-like items, totaling 0.75. Assume these are separate from 10.00 of borrowings and other adjustments. This assumed treatment is not automatic for every transaction.
