Deferred capex

Capital spending postponed from when it is needed or planned. Deferral can improve near-term cash flow and affect future depreciation, but does not automatically raise current earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA); capital expenditure is generally capitalized rather than immediately expensed.

Deferred capex in round numbers

The Hanil draft lists 0.45m of capital expenditure and 0.02m of depreciation; their provenance, units and period remain unverified. Even if confirmed, that comparison alone would not establish a maintenance backlog or adequate reinvestment. Asset condition, useful lives and the composition of spending are needed to assess any catch-up requirement and timing.
