Hypothesis-driven
Organizing analysis around testable initial hypotheses, actively seeking contrary evidence and alternatives, and revising the hypotheses as findings develop. Material risks outside the first hypothesis still require attention.
Hypothesis-driven in practice
Hypothetical: a team initially suspects supplier concentration is a manufacturer’s main risk. It tests that view against alternatives, investigates contradictory evidence and expands the work if other material risks emerge. No actual case process or time saving is implied.
