Shayne Fitz-Coy and Arar Han invested in ResponseLink in 2013. The medical-alert business operated the Alert1 consumer brand. Fitz-Coy served as Co-CEO through the investment’s sale in 2025.

Ownership and operating record

The investment began before Fitz-Coy and Han founded Sabot Family Companies in 2016.

In his Entrepreneur account of the turnaround, Fitz-Coy reports that the business was losing about $500,000 a month when he invested and generated $45 million in cash during his ownership. Cash generated is distinct from the sale price.
